What this policy covers
This policy covers the Apple-native Tribb app and these static public pages. Tribb does not require a Tribb account.
Tribb is operated by Vigneshraj Sekar Babu. For privacy questions, email support@tribb.app.
Tribb shows no ads. Tribb does not sell personal data or add third-party product analytics.
Data stored on your device
Tribb can store these types of data locally:
- Feeds, folders, article metadata, and downloaded feed content.
- Read, saved, and archived state.
- Reading and playback position.
- Local reading activity.
- Bounded caches for full article text, artwork, transcripts, chapters, audio progress, and video progress.
- Display and feed preferences that stay on this device.
Widgets and the Share extension use a small local App Group area. They do not contact a Tribb server.
Tribb can add recent article titles, feed names, dates, and links to the device's protected search index. It does not add article text, summaries, authors, AI content, transcripts, or media.
Data in private iCloud
When iCloud is available, Tribb can sync selected data through Apple CloudKit in your private iCloud library:
- Folders and feed subscriptions.
- Compact article identity and feed metadata.
- Read, saved, and archived state.
- A bounded plain-text snapshot for a saved article.
Tribb does not sync local reading activity, disposable AI summaries, images, audio, video, transcript bytes, or chapter bytes.
Apple operates iCloud and processes this data under your iCloud account and Apple's terms. Your local library remains available when iCloud is unavailable.
Summary
Summary uses Apple Foundation Models on this device. Apple Private Cloud Compute is not enabled in this release.
- Tribb does not ask for an AI key.
- Tribb does not send article text to a Tribb server or third-party AI provider.
- A future release that enables Apple Private Cloud Compute will require a new privacy review.
- Summary cache data is disposable and stays on this device. Tribb does not sync it.
- AI output can be wrong. Check important information against the article.
Requests to publishers
Your device connects directly to public websites to refresh feeds and, when requested, load article text, artwork, transcripts, audio, or video.
For a supported YouTube post, Open in YouTube hands the canonical watch URL to the system. Tribb does not load or embed YouTube API Services or a player.
Publishers can receive standard request data such as your IP address, request time, requested URL, and app user agent. Their privacy policies apply to their services.
If you choose Open in Browser, your browser and the destination website handle that visit.
These pages and support email
These pages contain no account, cookies, forms, application API, or analytics code. The static host can process standard network logs needed to deliver the pages.
If you email support, we use Zoho Mail to receive and store your address, message, and attachments. We use this information to respond to your request. We do not forward support messages to another mailbox. Your email provider may also process the messages you send.
We keep support messages active for 90 days, then archive them. Archived messages are not deleted automatically. You can request deletion by emailing support@tribb.app. Send only the information needed to explain the problem.
Control and deletion
- Export OPML in Settings to keep feed addresses and folders. OPML does not contain reading state, saved articles, history, or article content.
- Erase This Device removes the app-managed library, downloaded content, reading state, and shared extension data. It keeps device preferences, such as playback speed. Private iCloud data can download again, and removal from system search can finish later.
- Choose Delete iCloud Library, then choose Prepare. Confirm Replace Library to switch Tribb to a new empty library. The old library remains in iCloud until you separately confirm Delete Old iCloud Data.
- Deleting the app removes its local container. It does not by itself prove that private iCloud data was deleted.
Tribb keeps rebuildable local caches within fixed limits and can remove older ordinary feed payloads. Saved state and the compact identity needed to understand it are retained until you change or erase them.
Children
Tribb is not directed to children under 13.
Changes and contact
We can update this policy when the app or its data practices change. The date at the top identifies the current version.
